New Delhi: A candid interaction was held over coffee with medical students and resident doctors at the popular café at AIIMS New Delhi, focusing on the challenges of medical education, aspirations for India’s healthcare sector and concerns related to safety and security.
During the interaction, the young doctors and students shared their experiences of the rigours of medical education, along with their expectations and aspirations for the future of healthcare in India. They also raised concerns regarding safety and security, particularly those faced by women in medical institutions and workplaces.
The interaction provided an opportunity to hear the participants’ views and understand the issues they encounter in their academic and professional journeys.
Assuring them of full cooperation in addressing their concerns, the speaker emphasised the need to further strengthen a safe, secure and supportive environment for everyone working and studying in the healthcare sector.
Addressing the future doctors, the message was clear: “Serve with knowledge. Lead with empathy. Build a healthier Viksit Dilli and Viksit Bharat.”
